BTC repeatedly defended the USD 80K–81K region and recovered toward USD 83K despite hot U.S. inflation, ETF outflows and heavy liquidations. Equities, particularly technology stocks, faced greater pressure from elevated oil prices, yields and AI valuation concerns. **1. Crypto Markets & Liquidations** BTC traded mostly between $80K and ç84K, while ETH fell toward USD 2.35K before recovering above $2.4K. BTC & ETH ETF Flows** Bitcoin ETFs recorded roughly $228M of net outflows from Oct. 12–16, while ETH ETFs lost about $320M. BTC nevertheless remained resilient around the $80K–81K support region. Crypto Adoption** Standard Chartered launched direct BTC and ETH trading for eligible UAE clients. U.S. Inflation & Fed** September CPI rose 3.7% YoY, while PPI surged 6.3% YoY. U.S. & Global Markets** Technology stocks led the sell-off, with the Nasdaq losing more than 4% for the week amid AI valuation concerns.
