CRYPTO NEWS
1. Crypto Markets & Liquidations
Bitcoin briefly moved above $81,000 before pulling back toward $77,000 as the Fed outlook turned more hawkish. The broader crypto market also cooled after the strong August rally, with leveraged positions being reduced.

2. BTC & ETH ETF Flows
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded strong inflows through August 27, extending the inflow streak to nine sessions. Bitcoin ETFs attracted $242.3 million on August 27, while August 28 saw a $201.9 million outflow. ETH ETFs also maintained strong institutional demand during the week.

3. Ethereum & Altcoins
Ethereum remained one of the strongest major assets during the rally, supported by institutional ETF demand. SOL, XRP and other large-cap altcoins also gained, but the recent correction shows that broader altcoin participation remains sensitive to BTC momentum and liquidity.

4. On-Chain & Institutional Demand
Institutional flows remained supportive, but spot demand and on-chain activity have not strengthened as much as prices. This divergence is important because continued ETF buying without stronger spot-market participation could make the rally more vulnerable to profit-taking.

5. Fed, PCE & Jackson Hole
July PCE inflation remained elevated, with headline PCE at 3.7% year-on-year. At Jackson Hole, Fed Chair Kevin Warsh stressed that inflation remained too high and indicated that further policy action could be required. Markets subsequently increased September rate-hike expectations.

6. U.S. Markets & Nvidia
Nvidia reported quarterly revenue of $96.2 billion and guided for approximately $108 billion in the next quarter. Its outlook reinforced expectations that AI infrastructure spending remains strong, although semiconductor valuations and rising yields continue to create volatility.

7. U.S. Equities & Global Markets
U.S. technology stocks initially benefited from Nvidia’s results, but markets weakened toward the end of the week as higher yields and Fed concerns returned. Asian and European markets also came under pressure as oil and rate expectations increased.

8. Gold & Silver
Gold fell sharply from recent highs as the stronger dollar and higher-rate expectations reduced demand for non-yielding assets. Silver also corrected, trading around $66–67 as precious metals faced broader pressure.

9. Oil & Geopolitical Risk
Brent crude moved back above $90 as U.S.–Iran tensions escalated and concerns around the Strait of Hormuz increased. Higher energy prices are again becoming an inflation risk and could complicate the Fed’s September decision.
