CRYPTO NEWS

  1. On 13th December, the global crypto market cap was $3.59T and the total crypto market volume over the last 24 hours is $199.88B. Bitcoin’s dominance is currently 55.18% (Source: Coinmarketcap.com)
  2. Bitcoin hit a milestone, closing the week of December 8, 2024, at $101,200—the first weekly close above $100,000. There was notable volatility, with Bitcoin swinging between a high of $104,000 and a low of $92,000. The drop contributed to $1.5 billion in liquidations, affecting approximately 514,400 traders, according to Coinglass. Long positions accounted for $1.38 billion of the total liquidations, while short positions made up $136.7 million. (Source: Yahoo Finance)
  3. In the first half of the week, the broader market also saw its capitalization shrink by 7.5%, reflecting significant losses across major cryptocurrencies. Ethereum dropped 8% below $3,800, while Ripple, Dogecoin, and Cardano suffered heavy declines of 11%, 10%, and 13%, respectively on 10th December (Source:Yahoo Finance)
  4. Bitcoin ETF inflows soared 168% on Dec. 12, reaching $597.57 million, up from $223.03 million the day before. This marked the 11th straight day of inflows, totaling $4.4 billion and pushing cumulative net inflows past $35 billion for the first time, according to SoSoValue. (Source: Crypto.news)
  5. Ripple Labs’ RLUSD stablecoin received approval from the NYDFS, CEO Brad Garlinghouse announced on Dec. 10. Designed to compete with USDT and USDC, RLUSD is pegged 1:1 to the U.S. dollar and backed by USD deposits, Treasury bonds, and cash equivalents. Listings are expected soon. (Source: Coinmarketcap)
  6. Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon, speaking at a Reuters event on December 5, 2024, expressed interest in Bitcoin and Ethereum investments if U.S. regulations become more favorable. Considerable Call at the extremes is evident with PCR at 0.62 indicating a slightly bearish sentiment for the upcoming week.

Significant Call writing at 4000 is evident which is also a psychological number and can act as resistance. Put writing on a much lower level is evident.


DELTA EXCHANGE RESEARCH PERFORMANCE
Performance of trades covered by Delta Research last week:

  • The week has been pretty volatile, witnessed by ups and down. On Friday, we closed the Iron Fly trade with a profit of $570, and on Monday, we saw a smaller profit of $80 from the same strategy.
  • Short Strangle on Tuesday delivered us the complete profit of $210 on a margin of $1500.On Wednesday, we had to close the trade with a loss of $300 due to a sudden upward move in the markets. The crypto Markets have been pretty volatile after that.
